Building public-interest technology for Indonesia.

Public Tech Foundation is a tech community building open, accessible, and fast digital infrastructure that serves the Indonesian public — and anyone who needs to reach it.

01 — About

Public-interest technology, built in the open.

Indonesia's public-facing digital services are often slow, hard to reach from abroad, and inaccessible on modest devices or networks. We think this is a solvable problem — and a worthwhile one.

Our mission is to build and steward technology that serves the public interest first: fast by default, accessible to everyone, reachable from anywhere in the world. We focus on the gaps the market won't fill and the government can't yet reach.

What we're building.

Jakarta Airport (CGK)

Unlike the official airport site, jakartaairportcgk.com is reachable from outside Indonesia, loads quickly on any connection, and stays lightweight on modest devices.

PageSpeed 100/100 Internationally accessible Lightweight

More projects coming soon.

Get involved

Public-interest technology takes more than builders. We're looking for engineers, designers, writers, researchers, lawyers, and domain experts of any kind — anyone who cares about how public services in Indonesia actually work. If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you with us.
